I met Željko as I walked past his house on my first evening staying in the Trebisnjica valley; I went again the next evening, and he invited me onto his terrace for drinks: a lovely man, who wanted to practise his English. A bit later his wife and two children came back and I left them to their supper.

He had a goat, several cats and kittens, and a dog tied up above the house.
