This is a monastery on an island in a lagoon on the Mediterranean coast of Albania.
When I had walked across the causeway in the heat of the morning, I found there was a summer camp of some sort going on, and I started to walk towards the gathering the priest stopped me, and told me I couldn't go into the monastery with my bare chest showing!  I did my shirt up to the throat!!

This is my first sight of "the Dormition" which became very much part of
my subsequent study of the Virgin Mary.
