Not an auspicious (early) start from the flat in Mostar - a flat tyre on the hire car!.

However, I had a good drive (about 2 hours) up to Sarajevo...stopping at about 9 am at a bar on the banks of the Neretva River in Konjic; I had a coffee, but all around me were drinking rakya for Sunday breakfast, so I had to join in with one myself!
I parked at a street-side meter and walked into the old centre (where the trams are operating) and found a restaurant just on the edge of the tourist streets.

...delicious meal, by the way, including Bijana's recommendation, Ćevapi...

I then visited the Old Orthodox church, and sat under the cloisters to upload my pictures, and walked through the steep residential streets above the tourist area, back to the car.
I thought I would take a different route back to Mostar - Sarajevo is close to higher country (the Winter Olympics was held here one year) so I asked Google Maps to chart me an alternative.  It was a nice drive up onto an alpine plateau, with cows wandering across the road, which progressively deteriorated...
...this bridge didn't inspire confidence, but soon afterwards I came across a new "Romani Church", which suggested I wasn't too far from the beaten track.

However, a mile or so further on, the tarmac stopped, the dirt road narrowed to a single track that wound down the side of the mountain: there were other vehicles...mostly slightly battered looking 4x4's...and I didn't fancy meeting any of them on the narrow and precipitous track, so I, reluctantly turned round, and ended up going back to Sarajevo, and back to Mostar the way I had come.
