Naked Feminism

This is my latest interest: the cult of female modesty, and how it has subjugated women for millennia.
I have just finished reading the above book by Victoria Bateman, and the easiest way to access the message is to look at her videos:

The book (Naked Feminism: breaking the cult of female modesty) is excellent, and is really eye-opening (sorry! But it has challenged some of the things I have taken for granted – e.g that there is something implicitly wrong with sex work or pornography…). There is also an amusing video of Dr Bateman making John Humphries rather embarrassed in the Today studio, as well as a follow up interview on ITV.

Interesting stuff Andrew, I can remember feeling completely at home about my naked body in the 60’s and 70’s but gradually prudery or maybe modesty prevailed, it all seems so two edged now, i.e. young girls happy to walk about semi naked whilst still being very conscious of the male attitude. I was probably just naive. I was also reminded of how much I loathed John Humphries!
