(with Jenny’s help) all of the floorboards have been fully treated on the reverse side, cut to fit, and placed in situ on the roof, with the outside boards only fixed in place. Next, I plan to “water” the floor (there is no rain forecast) to see if it buckles… Continue reading

With the sterling efforts of Jenny, we have managed to get all of the joists installed ready for the installation of the floor boards for the dance floor (which also arrived today!!!).

This is going to be my open-air wooden dance floor (on top of the garage): It’s about 23 feet square (7 m) and will have some further flat areas alongside… …and a double garage underneath. (It’s only been being built since May 2002!)
