Floreana Hacienda Paradise
by Cathy Whitmore – Inner Ground
In the spring on my island with you
I was walking in a garden by a sea of silent blue
Flash of wings in the sky, roll of dice
As the gods descend to rule our Floreana Paradise
In the mix of the earth and air
All the colours wrap around me but all you do is stare
At the clock as it spins through space
Whipping up the nightmare of the memories of that place
Whipping up a tempest in my soul
A piece of me, a piece of this, a peace I can’t control
My paradise is broken, I’m alone
My hacienda never will be home
As the hands of the clock fly by
Carry me away and take this vision from my eye
Back where Gods and Angry Birds make moan
Floreana Paradise, take me home.
